LACERS searches for general investment consultant

by Zoë Wolff

The $14 billion Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System is searching for a general investment consultant, according to recent board meeting documents.

LACERS hired Wilshire Associates as its general investment consultant in 2010 for a three-year contract and extended that contract for another three years in 2013. The current contract will expire Dec. 31, 2016, and Wilshire is invited to rebid.

The pension fund expects to issue an RFP on May 16 on its website. Proposals will be due June 27, and a decision is expected sometime in October.
