KTR raises $193 million for third industrial fund

KTR Capital Partners, an industrial-focused private equity real estate investment firm based in New York City, has raised $193 million for its value-added fund KTR Industrial Fund III, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The vehicle was launched in April 2012 with a $750 million fundraising goal. It aims to hold a final close in March 2013.

The value-added fund series focuses on acquiring, developing and operating industrial assets in North America.

Recently, the $13 billion Kansas Public Employees Retirement System committed $40 million to KTR Industrial Fund III. The pension fund previously invested in the fund series, making a $20 million commitment to the $700 million KTR Industrial Fund II, which closed in 2009.KTR Industrial Fund II is the successor to the Keystone Industrial Fund, which closed with $505 million in 2005.
