Kohlberg & Co. has hired advisers to explore a potential sale of Interstate Hotels & Resorts that could value the hotel management company at about $1 billion, according to Bloomberg.
Kohlberg & Co. paid $600 million to acquire the Virginia-based business in 2016.
The company, founded in 1960 and led by Mike Deitemeyer, operates 605 properties in 15 countries.
