KKR raises capital for core-plus European real estate fund

by Kali Persall

Capital raising is under way for KKR’s new fund targeting long-term real estate deals in Europe, Bloomberg reported on April 29. IREI understands this to be KKR’s Pan-European Core+ strategy for Real Estate.

According to Bloomberg, the fund, which is open-ended and will target core-plus properties, has already completed two deals via KKR’s industrial and logistics platform Mirastar, which focuses on warehouses.

In mid-April, Mirastar acquired four U.K. logistics assets from TPG and Stoford. KKR announced that this was the firm’s second transaction from its Pan-European Core+ Real Estate strategy, following the acquisition of four freehold logistics assets in the Netherlands in January.

KKR’s Core+ strategy targets high-quality, substantially stabilized assets with long-term value-growth potential. Sources with knowledge
