Kennedy Wilson launches sixth real estate fund

Kennedy Wilson, a global real estate investment company, has launched Kennedy Wilson Real Estate Fund VI, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm could not be reached for comment and no official statement has been released.

The new fund will seek to add value to properties in the United States. A target fundraising goal was not released in the SEC filing.

The fund’s predecessor, Kennedy Wilson Real Estate Fund V, held a $500 million final close in early 2016. The fundraising marked the largest U.S. commingled fund raise in the firm’s history, according to William McMorrow, chairman and CEO of Kennedy Wilson. The fund invests across various property types, including office, retail and residential properties and focuses on Kennedy Wilson’s core West Coast markets.
