JV to build 1msf mixed-use development in Phoenix

Medistar Corporation, GMH Communities and CBRE Investment Management have broken ground on Central Station, a 1 million-square-foot, mixed-use development adjacent to Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix campus and Civic Space Park.

Central Station will include two residential towers. One  tower is 22 stories with 655 beds. The second is 33 stories with 363 units, 30,000-square-feet of retail space focusing on food-oriented concepts, 70,000-square-feet of state-of-the-art flexible creative office space, and two levels of below-grade parking with 430 spaces.

“Downtown Phoenix is an entirely different place today than it was just five or six years ago.
