JR Capital, Chancerygate’s urban logistics fund acquires Compton Industrial Estate

A £150 million ($187 million) urban logistics investment fund managed by JR Capital and Chancerygate has acquired Compton Industrial Estate in Eastbourne, England. A joint venture between commercial property business Canmoor and investment company JCAM sold the property for £13.7 million ($17 million).

Compton Industrial Estate, situated one and a half miles from Eastbourne town center, consists of 12 units totaling 121,780 square feet. The units range from 3,555 square feet to 22,785 square feet. Current occupiers include East Sussex County Council, Eastbourne Coach Furnishers, Williams Trade Suppliers and Howdens Joinery.

JR Capital and Chancerygate’s £150 million ($187 million) fund is targeting industrial, warehousing and urban logistics investments across the United Kingdom, in lot sizes of £5 million ($6.2 million) to £15 million ($18.6 million).
