Joe McDonnell appointed CIO at Border to Coast Pensions Partnership

Joe McDonnell has assumed the position of CIO at Border to Coast Pensions Partnership, one of the United Kingdom’s largest pension pools.

McDonnell most recently served as managing director, head of portfolio solutions at Neuberger Berman. There, he focused on designing and overseeing multi-asset mandates, engaging with strategic partners and identifying solutions for clients.

His extensive investment experience also includes leadership roles at Morgan Stanley, where he spent 10 years and had several LGPS clients, and Shell and IBM’s pension funds prior to that, where he managed the companies’ internal asset management businesses.
