JLL strengthens funds advisory capabilities

by Andrea Zander

JLL has made two senior appointments in its global funds advisory team to strengthen its capital raising and investment advisory capabilities.

Georg Frauboes joins as a director and is based in London, while Eugene Kim also joins as a director and is based in Singapore. In their roles, they will be responsible for underwriting investment opportunities and managing the capital raising process in their respective regions.

The appointments support JLL’s strategy of offering a broader range of services to investor clients worldwide to complement its market-leading investment sales and acquisitions business.

The global funds advisory team works with investment managers across the world to provide support and strategic counsel on product development and capital raising for real estate investment opportunities.

“The creation of the team last year was driven in part by the recognition that the largest investors around the world demand more tailored solutions to meet their needs,” said Matilde Attolico, head of global funds advisory, JLL.

Frauboes joins JLL from UBS Asset Management, where he worked alongside regional teams, underwriting real estate funds globally on behalf of UBS Multi-Manager Real Estate clients.

Kim joins from Canada’s Brookfield Asset Management. Most recently he was a member of its product development and strategy group, creating investment strategies and vehicles across real estate, infrastructure and private equity. Prior to that, he worked in real estate investment banking in Brookfield’s global advisory business.
