by Released

JLL has appointed Chae Hun Chang as the firm’s head of South Korea Business.

“South Korea continues to be one of our key growth markets in Asia and we are excited to be strengthening our leadership team by appointing someone of Chae Hun’s calibre and experience to drive the next generation of our growth strategy,” says Albert Ovidi, COO, Asia Pacific, JLL.

Chang succeeds Steven Craig who, after seven years as Country Head, will step away from day-to-day firm management to focus fully on his other role in leading JLL’s South Korea Capital Markets business.

Chang is currently JLL’s South Korea Head of Property and Asset Management, and also a part of JLL’s Capital Markets team.

Chang has more than 23 years’ experience in the real estate sector both in South Korea and globally. Since joining the firm in 2000, he has held a range of increasingly senior roles with both JLL and LaSalle Investment Management, the firm’s independent subsidiary that focuses on real estate investment management.  His tenure with JLL includes a four-year stint in the firm’s New York business before returning to Seoul.

Chang holds a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, NYC, and a B. Arch. from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston.  He is a NCARB certified registered Architect and an Associate Member of the Building Owners and Managers Association. He is also a certified member of the Asset Management Association of Korea.
