The JLL Foundation deployed more than $5 million in loans to climate startups in 2025, its largest loan pool to date.
According to the 2025 JLL Foundation Annual Report, 15 startups were added to the portfolio during the year. Since the Foundation began operations in 2022, supported companies have raised nearly $165 million in follow-on funding. The report also notes that $1 million in repaid loans from 2022 was redistributed in 2025 under the Foundation’s circular funding model.
Companies backed by the Foundation in 2025 were located in the United States, Canada, Australia and China. Since its inception, the JLL Foundation has invested more than $16.8 million in 62 companies across five continents.
