JCR Capital raises $141m for income-plus fund

JCR Capital, a Denver-based alternative investment manager, has raised $141 million for its fourth capital income-plus real estate fund, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts. JCR Capital Income Plus Fund IV is a value-added real estate fund that will pursue mezzanine financing and preferred equity opportunities in industrial, office, multifamily and specific retail properties throughout the United States. The firm is aiming to raise up to $200 million of equity commitments for the vehicle, according to the filing. In an August market commentary report, the firm stated that there has been a rise of leveraged debt funds throughout the market. “Over the last year, we have seen a dramatic increase in real estate debt funds.
