One of the challenges of investing in alternative assets is the more limited amount of information available regarding investment trends. Into that informational void, however, Institutional Real Estate, Inc. has been publishing an annual survey of institutional investors’ plans and intentions regarding private real estate investment. The annual investor survey is in its 26th year overall and its 10th year as a global initiative. For the 2023 Institutional Investors Real Estate Trends report, released in April, IREI surveyed 190 investors and found that investors around the world held similar expectations and understandings of the value of real estate investment.
