Invesco Real Estate completes sale of Utrecht logistics facility

Invesco Real Estate has completed the sale of a multimodal industrial estate in Utrecht, Lage Weide in the Netherlands, on behalf of one of its long-standing German pension fund clients.

The asset was developed in a joint venture with local Dutch developer Intospace and has been sold to Intospace, which has now acquired full ownership.

The Utrecht estate, which covers roughly 68,000 square meters (731,946 square feet), is a state-of-the-art logistics premises that offers the highest sustainability standards, including a BREEAM “excellent” certification. It is located at a meeting point of major roads, railways and waterways, at one of the fastest-growing economic centers of both the densely populated Randstad region and the Netherlands. Lage Weide is close to the city center of Utrecht, providing easy access for employees. The 216-hectare (534-acre) park is the largest industrial area in the Utrecht region.
