Singapore-based Overseas Union Enterprise Ltd. (OUE) has acquired the U.S. Bank Tower, California’s tallest building, from MPG Office Trust for $367.5 million, according to a statement. The deal closed in June 2013. Here’s a closer look at the transaction.
THE DEAL
Beringia Central LLC, an indirect wholly owned subsidy of OUE, purchased the property from MPG Office Trust, which first announced the transaction in March 2013 before it held its final closing in June. MPG sold the U.S. Bank Tower and the Westlawn Garage, both located in downtown Los Angeles, to OUE.
