The Illinois State Universities Retirement System (SURS) has approved a commitment of $75 million to the GI Partners Essential Tech + Science (ETS) Fund, according to a recent board meeting document.
GI Partners launched the ETS fund in July 2021 with the goal of acquiring data-center properties, life-sciences assets, and always-on research and development facilities within the office and industrial sectors.
GI Partners said the fund seeks to invest in real estate assets that continuously operate in order to support mission-critical functions of the technology and life-sciences industries.
