Illinois Police Officers invests $250m in TA Realty Value-Add Fund XIV

by Elise Mackanych

The Illinois Police Officers’ Pension Investment Fund (IPOPIF) has committed $250 million to TA Realty Value-Add Fund XIV.

This fund is a closed-end, value-added strategy that focuses on acquiring industrial, office and multifamily assets, as well as grocery-anchored shopping centers in major U.S. markets. According to Ask IRE.IQ, the market intelligence tool of Institutional Real Estate, Inc., grocery-anchored retail stands out as an area of opportunity given healthy fundamentals in necessity-based retail subsectors.

A fundraising goal for this strategy has not been determined. The San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System and The Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana have committed to this fund in recent months.
