Houston Police Officers slates $25m for healthcare real estate fund

Houston Police Officers Pension System has greenlighted a $25 million commitment to Hammes Partners IV, a non-core healthcare real estate fund managed by Hammes Partners.

Hammes Partners IV has a target fund size of $675 million.

Hammes Partners is an investment management firm that invests on behalf of institutional investors with an exclusive focus on the U.S. healthcare real estate market, according to the firm’s website. Hammes Partners’ investment portfolio is composed of high-quality outpatient healthcare facilities such as medical-office buildings, ambulatory care centers and specialty clinics.

As of September 2021, Hammes managed approximately 3 million square feet of healthcare real estate assets and had been involved in more than 750 healthcare facility engagements nationwide, according to an investment document from the state of New
