by Kali Persall

Homestead Capital USA Farmland Fund IV, a closed-end fund managed by Homestead Capital, is more than halfway to its $500 million fundraising target, according to a recent filing with the SEC.

The closed-end fund is looking to invest in agricultural properties in the United States. It has so far raised more than $330 million toward its goal.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Homestead Capital is an investor in operating farmland throughout the Pacific, Mountain West, Delta and Midwest regions of the United States. The firm has received support from a diverse range of leading institutional investors, the majority of which are pension funds, endowments and foundations. The investor mix also includes funds-of-funds, high-net-worth individuals and insurance companies.
