Hines veteran Claire Cormier Thielke takes up CIO — Asia role at Prologis
Claire Cormier Thielke has left her post at Hines to become chief investment officer — Asia at Prologis.
Thielke was at Hines for more than 10 years. According to LinkedIn, she joined the firm as a chief operating officer — Hines Investment Management in 2013 and subsequently was named managing director — Hines Asia Pacific in 2019 and country head — Hines Greater China in 2021.
Thielke will continue to be based in Hong Kong, overseeing strategy and execution of deployment in Asia (except Japan), including M&A activity and the securing of domestic and cross-border capital for operations across the region, according to Mingtiandi.
“We are delighted to have Claire join the company,” said Karsten Kallevig, managing director of global strategic capital at Prologis. “Her incredible background in M&A, private capital markets and operations will be valuable for our business growth in Asia.”
According to a post from Thielke on LinkedIn, 2.8 percent of global GDP passes through Prologis distribution centers. The company has more than 100 million square feet in Asia and a diverse customer base across the region.
