Hines has announced that construction has commenced of a new distribution center and office space at ABC Westland in Poeldijk, Netherlands.
The logistics park will mainly serve occupiers in the fresh fruit and vegetable industry, is located near The Hague and provides services for production, logistics, wholesale, trade, packaging and other related activities.
The distribution center will be 17,452 square meters (187,852 square feet) and split into two units that include office space. Both units have been fully pre-let, in the form of a 10-year lease to Bidfood, a foodservice wholesaler and distributor, and a five-year lease to Fine Fruits Company, a Dutch brand of the French supermarket Grand Frais.
The building is scheduled for completion in first quarter 2025.
Hines was advised by CBRE and Batenburg Bedrijfshuisvesting on its leasing activity.
