Hillhouse Investment Management, one of the world’s largest global private alternative asset managers, along with its dedicated real assets strategy, Rava Partners, and other affiliated entities are undertaking a tender offer to acquire the common shares of Samty Holdings for ¥3,300 ($22.10) per share, implying a total enterprise value of ¥169 billion ($1.1 billion)
The offer represents a 14.1 percent premium over Samty Holdings’ highest publicly traded share price, and the implied equity value represents 1.4 times the book value. Hillhouse said the tender offer purchase period commenced Oct. 15, and will conclude on Nov. 26. The firm has committed equity capital from internal resources to fully fund the transaction, which is not conditional on any debt financing.
