Hillhouse Capital, GoBroad Healthcare Group and the government of Changping District, have broken ground on its research hospital in Life Science Park in the western part of Future Science Park, Changping District, Beijing.
The 100,000-square-meter (tk-square-foot), 500-bed project is expected to spur development in the pharmaceutical sector and contribute to the transformation of China's healthcare sector. GoBroad Research Hospital aims to become a research-oriented international-grade healthcare facility centered on translational science.
The research-oriented facility is scheduled to come online in 2023 following three years of construction.
Hillhouse Capital Group is a global Asia-focused private equity firm. It was founded by Lei Zhang in 2005 with $20 million in seed capital from the Yale Endowment.
