HIH Invest has acquired a new German-Chinese daycare center in Bremen, Germany, for its open-ended institutional fund HIH Zukunft Invest. Local developer BSB Baubetreuung und Bauträger sold the property for an undisclosed amount.
The building will be constructed on a plot of about 1,500 square meters (16,145 square feet). Nearly 1,200 square meters (12,916 square feet) of net internal area will provide enough space to accommodate six groups of children: three nursery groups of 10 spots each and three daycare groups of 20 spots each. Play areas will be installed in an outdoor area of around 1,000 square meters (10,763 square feet), and an additional 140 square meters (1,506 square feet) of play area will be created on the roof terrace.
The building’s energy measures will include a ventilation system with 80 percent heat recovery and a roof-mounted photovoltaic system that includes dedicated electricity storage.
