Heitman raises $137.5 million for Heitman Value Partners III

Chicago-based investment manager Heitman has raised $137.5 million for Heitman Value Partners Fund III, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  

Heitman declined to comment on fundraising activities.

The filing indicates the total offering amount is $500 million. The tentative closing date is June 2014.

Heitman closed the fund’s predecessor, Heitman Value Partners II (HVP II), in 2007, raising $800 million of equity from 20 investors. The value-added fund invested in a diversified portfolio of traditional and specialty properties across North America, primarily using joint ventures with strong operating partners to execute value-creation investment strategies.
