Harrison Street sells 538-bed student housing portfolio to Nuveen

Harrison Street has sold Aspen Knoxville, a 538-bed student housing development at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., to Nuveen Real Estate.

The firm could not comment on the financial terms of the sale.

Since inception, Harrison Street has invested more than $20.5 billion across about 400 properties, representing more than 216,000 beds in education and student housing assets at major universities throughout North America and Europe.

During this period, the firm also has sold 196 student housing properties for a gross cost value of $7.9 billion.
