Harrison Street has appointed Penny Christy as managing director and global head of investor services, and Atsushi Sumitomo as director of investor relations for the firm’s Tokyo office.
In this newly created role, Christy leads the investor services function across the investor relations team, implementing policies and procedures on a global basis to help maintain best practices. Christy brings more than two decades of industry experience, including 18 years in investor relations, client service and marketing. Most recently, as global head of investor services at Hines, she built and led a 25-person team supporting capital raising across regions and helped launch five global funds. Before Hines, she led client servicing at Barings and held investment roles at AEW and The Grossman Companies.
