Harrison Street holds first close for fourth fund in series

Harrison Street Real Estate Capital (HSRE) has held a $465 million initial closing for its fourth fund in its Harrison Street Real Estate Partners opportunistic fund series. The fund series specializes in the medical office, student housing, self-storage and senior housing/assisted living sectors.

Harrison Street Real Estate Capital declined to comment on the fundraising.

Harrison Street Real Estate Partners IV launched in December 2012 with a $600 million fundraising goal and a $700 million hard cap. The initial close represents approximately 75 percent of its fundraising goal. A final close date was not disclosed

The Harrison Street Real Estate Partners fund series started in 2006 with Harrison Street Real Estate Partners I, which closed in 2007 with approximately $208 million in equity commitments. Harrison Street Real Estate Partners II
