Hammes Partners, an institutional investment management firm focused on U.S. healthcare real estate, picked up the Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees Retirement System (SCERS) as an investor in its Hammes Partners IV fund, which closed in March with $739 million of capital commitments.
SCERS contributed $40 million to the value-add fund on behalf of its noncore real estate portfolio, a meeting document shows. SCERS was a new investor with Hammes Partners. SCERS could not be reached for further comment on its investment at the time of publication.
