Hamilton Point Investments closes ninth apartment fund

by Kali Persall

Hamilton Point Investments (HPI), a real estate private-equity investment company that owns and manages multifamily apartment properties, has closed its HPI Real Estate Fund IX with $195 million of equity commitments.

IREI understands the fund exceeded its target of $150 million.

HPI has acquired more than 22,000 apartment units for $2.1 billion, according to the firm’s website. HPI invests through a series of real estate private equity investment funds raised from individual accredited investors through a selling group of independent broker-dealers and registered investment advisors.

HPI Real Estate Fund IX will acquire value-added apartment properties across the Eastern U.S., targeting deals in secondary markets.

HPI could not be reached to comment on its fundraising efforts at the time of publication.
