Gulf Coast Commercial sells newly constructed, Kroger marketplace shadow-anchored site in Louisiana

Gulf Coast Commercial has sold Lake Charles Marketplace, a fully occupied, 7,201-square-foot,  newly developed Kroger Marketplace shadow-anchored shopping center in Lake Charles, La. Cushman and Wakefield facilitated the transaction.

Built in 2022, the property is 100 percent occupied and benefits from a dominant grocery anchor. The property sits just west of the signalized intersection of Nelson Road and Country Club Road. Nelson Road serves as a heavily traveled north-south commercial thoroughfare with 27,687 vehicles per day. This is shadow anchored to the second-best performing Kroger Marketplace in the entire state of Louisiana and provides a high-end grocery option in Lake Charles while driving significant consumer traffic by catering to the daily needs of the dense surrounding population.
