by Kali Persall

GreenPoint Partners, an alternatives firm investing at the intersection of real assets, technology and sustainability, is seeking $1 billion for its first real estate fund, according to Bloomberg.

The New York City–based firm was founded by Chris Green, Macquarie’s former global head of real estate, in 2019.

GreenPoint has begun discussing the vehicle with prospective investors, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg. The investment strategy could not be learned at the time of publication.

GreenPoint could not be reached to comment on its fundraising activity.

In other news, this week GreenPoint announced a strategic investment in Semi-Stow, an Austin-based semi-truck parking and trailer storage operator and launched a dedicated $500 million truck and trailer industrial outdoor storage platform.
