German investors contribute €200m to Edmond de Rothschild’s industrial fund

The Edmond de Rothschild Euro Industrial Real Estate Fund (EIREF) has increased its investment capacity to €500 million ($562 million) following the influx of €200 million ($225 million) of new equity from several large German investors.

The investors included institutional and private clients of Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management, as well as several existing investors in the fund. The new commitments bring the equity in the fund to €340 million ($382 million).

Launched in December 2018, EIREF will invest in light industrial and small logistics assets in urban areas in the Benelux, Germany and France, capitalizing on the growth of ecommerce, last-mile delivery and reshoring. It follows a core-plus risk profile and has a portfolio of 27 assets, valued at €220 million ($247 million), that is diversified across different locations and tenants.
