Gerard Brown joins HESTA, replacing Rob Fowler

Gerard Brown has been appointed head of investment execution with HESTA, the A$50 billion ($35 billion) superannuation fund for healthcare professionals. Brown, who will begin his term in late July, will replace Rob Fowler, who is retiring from the fund after serving for more than 15 years, including as CIO from July 2013 to April 2017. Brown, who joins HESTA from BNP Paribas, will report to HESTA CIO Sonya Sawtell-Rickson and will be a member of the senior leadership team.
