George Rupp joins JCR Capital

by Released

JCR Capital, an alternative investment manager focused on middle-market commercial real estate investments, has hired George Rupp as managing director of capital formation.

The strategic addition and formation of an internal capital markets team will help JCR Capital build upon its rapid growth over the past eight years, during which the firm increased its assets under management from $30 million to nearly $1 billion — including more than $300 million added in 2017 alone.

Rupp will oversee JCR Capital’s marketing and fundraising efforts as it continues to attract investors for its diversified suite of private equity and debt strategies.

Rupp brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services and investment management industries, including stints at investment bank Merrill Lynch & Co. and advisory firm PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York.

Prior to joining JCR Capital, he served as a senior member of the institutional client relations and business development group at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. His experience also includes a five-year term as an executive with a privately held Central Eastern European commercial real estate investment company.
