Gaw in talks to buy warehouse portfolio from Blackstone for $540m

Gaw Capital Partners has plans to acquire seven warehouses in Japan owned by Blackstone for about 80 billion yen ($540 million), according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter.

Japan’s industrial spreads relative to 10-year government bond remain unchanged, according to Cushman & Wakefield in August 2022. This contrasts with other advanced economies that saw significant tightening over the past year, such as Singapore (506 bps/368 bps), Australia (388 bps/98 bps), South Korea (257 bps/89 bps) and Hong Kong (228 bps/37 bps).
