London developer Galliard Homes has teamed up with regional landowner-developer Apsley House Capital and Midlands-based property developer Wavensmere Homes have formed a £300 million (€353 million/$400 million) joint venture to build 850 homes across two schemes outside London.
The two residential-led schemes are Belgrave Village in Birmingham, a major city in England’s West Midlands region; and the regeneration of the HMS Ganges Naval facility, a village and civil parish eight miles southeast of Ipswich in the English county of Suffolk.
Belgrave Village (photo above) will create 438 homes comprising a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom townhouses, and one- and two-bedroom apartments, with private and shared courtyard gardens, a landscaped public area and a linear park.
The regeneration will include 385 homes, retails units, and 9,359 square meters (100,739 square feet) of new and converted commercial and leisure premises in a new commercial center that w
