The €865.3 million ($928.6 million) transformation of William Shakespeare’s original Curtain Theatre into a luxury residential property, The Stage in Shoreditch, is now complete.
Developed by Galliard Homes, The Stage is a 37-story tower of 412 apartments, with a luxury sky terrace and state-of-the-art underground amusement arcade, alongside a vibrant array of lifestyle amenities and the preserved archaeological remains of Shakespeare’s iconic playhouse.
Working with joint venture partners Cain International, McCourt Partners, Vanke and The Estate Office Shoreditch, the 9,300-square-meter (100,100-square-foot) site is now reborn for the 21st century, with the residential tower alongside two sleek office blocks providing 27,876 square meters (300,055 square feet) of blue-chip commercial space, 5,574 square meters (59,998 square feet) of extensive retail and restaurant space, and a performing arts pavilion.
