Folksam names Jonas Bjuggren as new director of real estate

Folksam, the Swedish insurance company that manages over SEK 550 billion ($50.6 billion), has announced Jonas Bjuggren as its director of real estate, effective Jan. 15, 2024.

Prior to the hire, Bjuggren was working on a consulting assignment as director of real estate at RISE.

“The real estate industry is facing major challenges given the state of the economy, but I also see opportunities ahead,” said Bjuggren. “Given the work done by the real estate team at Folksam over several years, we have a strong starting point for developing the business and the portfolio further, both in terms of new acquisitions and the development of existing stock. I look forward to getting started and to further developing Folksam’s real estate business together.”
