Fairfax County commits $43m to Carlyle Property Investors

Fairfax County (Va.) Educational Employees' Supplementary Retirement System has committed $43 million to Carlyle Property Investors (CPI), an open-end core-plus real estate fund managed by The Carlyle Group, according to a Jan. 22 board meeting document.

CPI is The Carlyle Group’s first and only open-end investment vehicle. The fund was launched in 2015 and had raised nearly $3 billion as of July 2020, according to a record of Form D filings.
