Canary Wharf Group (CWG) and Kadans Science Partner have formed a joint venture to develop a new 750,000-square-foot, life sciences–focused, wet lab–enabled building at Canary Wharf in London.
The development will be the first phase in the creation of a world-leading center for health and life sciences on the 3.3-hectare (8.2-acre) North Quay site next to the new Elizabeth Line station.
The project brings together two market leaders with highly complementary skills and resources. CWG’s construction, development and placemaking experience is matched by Kadans’ expertise as a European leader in the development and management of life sciences buildings and ecosystems.
With 750,000 square feet of space across 22 stories, the building, which will be delivered in 2026, will be the largest commercial wet lab–enabled life sciences building in Europe. Importantly, it will be a laboratory building at its core, with full flexibility allowing lab space on all floo
