eQ Asset Management has completed a final closing of its first residential property fund, eQ Finnish Residential Fund, with €100 million ($119 million) in capital commitments.
The fund is planning to invest more than €300 million ($358 million) in residential properties. The fund will target unregulated rental properties in the Helsinki Metropolitan Region, Tampere and Turku. The fund targets single buildings entirely dedicated to rental housing and the portfolio will consist of 1,500 rental units.
eQ said the fund pipeline already consists of more than 1,000 units either in planning or construction phases.
