DWS appoints new regional CIOs

DWS has appointed Vera Fehling as CIO for Western Europe and Ivy Ng as CIO for APAC.

Fehling joined DWS in 2011 as a portfolio manager in the Euro IG Credit Team. In 2013, she transferred to Multi Asset & Solutions as a portfolio manager for Liability Driven Investments (LDI), where she soon took over significant blue-chip client mandates. Fehling was crucial in expanding DWS’s presence as an LDI manager. In 2021, Fehling has taken over as head of LDI and, in this capacity, continuously contributes to development of the Solutions business.

Ng joined DWS in 2013 and is a senior portfolio manager covering Asia Ex Japan property markets. With a background as a financial journalist, investment magazine founder and economic book author, she brings a different perspective to her role, said the firm in the release. Prior to joining DWS, she was with LaSalle Investment Management.
