Dutch pension fund invests €250m in elderly care homes in the Netherlands

Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW), the Dutch pension fund for the care and welfare sector and the second largest pension fund in the Netherlands, has committed €250 million ($264 million) to Amvest Living & Care Fund.

Amvest Living & Care Fund invests in care homes for the elderly in the Netherlands. The fund qualifies as an article 8 product under the SFDR.

PFZW’s commitment will help deliver 340 care homes and various facilities for seniors with light-to-medium care needs, as well as those in need of full-time care, according to reports. The first homes are expected to be delivered at the beginning of 2026.

PFZW has now invested a total of €500 million ($528 million) in the healthcare fund.

The Amvest Living & Care Fund is currently not open to new investors.
