Dutch pension fund BPF Schoonmaak has contributed €50 million ($54 million) to the Achmea Dutch Health Care Property Fund (ADHCPF), managed by Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance.

With a portfolio of more than €700 million ($757 million), ADHCPF is the largest fund in the Netherlands focused on healthcare real estate for institutional investors.

Syntrus Achmea has invested heavily in new complexes on behalf of participants in ADHCPF, clustering lifetime homes with healthcare in the immediate vicinity. Syntrus Achmea and Zilveren Kruis is planning to contribute to the realization of at least 450,000 homes for the cohort of people over 65 by 2040. Including mandates from existing customers, Syntrus Achmea will have raised nearly €300 million ($324 million) in new capital in 2022, according to Daan Tettero, the company’s fund manager.

Coöperatie DELA also recently joined the fund with a mandate of €100 million ($108 million).
