by Andrea Zander

Digital Realty has plans to build a data center on the site of a sugar silo in Marseille, France, reported Data Center Dynamics.

The new MRS5 facility will reportedly span about 10,000 square meters (107,639 square feet) and be ready for service by the end of 2025. The outlet estimates the company will be investing €260 million ($279 million) in the project.

Digital Realty also has nearby data centers — MRS2, 3, and 4, all within 500 meters (1,640 feet) of the new site.
