A little more than two years after the COVID-19 pandemic-driven economic shutdown, news headlines continue announcing that employers are struggling to get their employees back to the office.

Headlines such as “Big Cities Can’t Get Workers Back to the Office,” and “Why the Return to the Office Isn’t Working” suggest that the office sector is doomed. On the contrary, when you factor in the bigger picture, actually it’s evolving.

Understanding the future of the office industry requires a more in-depth understanding than anecdotal evidence and limited data. Delving deeper, office properties can be viable investments, especially well-maintained, Class A properties in high job-growth markets.
