Dennis Lopez to leave AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets

Dennis Lopez has stepped down as global CIO of AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets. He will be joining Canada-based QuadReal Property Group as CEO. He will leave AXA IM – Real Assets at the end of May and begin his new job on June 5.

Lopez will be based in Vancouver and be responsible for overseeing QuadReal’s global real estate investments.

Lopez joined AXA IM - Real Assets in 2009, heading up and helping grow the company’s investment team, while working with the management board to develop and execute AXA IM -Real Assets’ global investment strategies.

QuadReal is a global real estate company with managed assets totaling more than $18 billion. QuadReal is owned by bcIMC (British Columbia Investment Management Corporation), one of Canada’s largest institutional investors, and was established to manage its real estate assets.
