Deka Immobilien acquires logistics project in the Netherlands

Deka Immobilien, the Frankfurt-based real estate firm of Deka Group, has acquired a logistics project near Rotterdam for more than €80 million ($83.8 million). The property was sold by Dutch real estate developer Dudok Real Estate. It will be added to the portfolio of the open-end real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa.

The new building covers almost 398,265 square feet, containing a logistics warehouse and an office block that are interconnected by an overground bridge. There are also 150 parking spaces available. The project is located in Alblasserdam, an established logistics site that constitutes an eastern extension of the port of Rotterdam.

The property has been completed in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is fully leased to Peute Recycling B.V. on a long-term basis. The creditworthy company, which will relocate its headquarters from Dordrecht to Alblasserdam with the move, operates in the packaging, storing and handling of recycled paper and plastics.
