Five major brokerages are using Dealpath Connect, a private exchange for institutional real estate listings, signaling the institutional real estate market may be converging on a more standardized, shared system for distributing deal flow. JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Avison Young and Northmarq now distribute opportunities through the platform.
“It signals that both sides of the industry are standardizing work on shared infrastructure for the first time,” said Mike Sroka, CEO and co-founder of Dealpath. “For decades, institutional deal flow exclusively moved through a fragmented web of individual relationships and inboxes. This ‘spray-and-pray’ approach was inefficient and impossible to measure.”
In an exclusive email interview with IREI, Sroka discussed how structured deal flow, artificial intelligence (AI) and connected investment platforms are changing the front end of the institutional real estate investment process.
